Mohamed Rishan

Rishan has extensive academic and professional background specializing in aviation. He served Mega Maldives Airlines as a route revenue analyst in the early stage of his professional career. He was responsible for looking after the passenger service system (PSS), schedule and fare allocations besides revenue analytics. He was also extensively engaged with pricing and many other commercial activities of Mega Maldives Airlines throughout his tenure. Rishan also served Villa Air - Flyme as Assistant Manager Network Planning and Revenue. He played a prominent role in business development and other commercial activities of Villa Air apart from his assigned role of revenue management and network planning. Rishan led a team and worked with Lufthansa Consultancy in structuring the business development blue print and implementation of a commercial turn around plan for Villa Air with a responsibility on commercial and corporate planning. Currently he serves Villa Air as Manager Strategic Planning and Corporate Communications.

Rishan is also a rising star in lecturing and teaching various aviation and corporate subjects. He was a founding member of Coral Academy, the only IATA accredited training institute in the Maldives. He is a senior lecturer at the academy and certified to deliver various IATA subject programmes. Rishan also assisted in developing the first aviation management undergraduate degree programme at Villa College and is also a visiting lecturer for the college. Besides aviation, Rishan is a seasoned instructor for a wide range of corporate subjects and teaches at various other local institutes in the Maldives.

Rishan first graduated from Trade Wings Institute, India in 2011 with a professional diploma in Flight Operations, Aviation Management and Air Traffic Radiotelephony. He then attended Universiti Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (MIAT), Malaysia graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management (Hons) in 2015. Rishan achieved postgraduate degree in Science in Aviation at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia in 2021.
